Basin modeling

Basin modeling is a journey millions of years into the past and a reconstruction of geological horizons’ development and transformation processes with intent to determine the time when hydrocarbons started to build up within them, where exactly they were accumulating and how they were spreading. Obviously, this requires handling immense volumes of correlated data, but such modeling helps significantly increase the recovery of useful information and enables prompt re-evaluation of the area under research as soon as new information comes up. In a nutshell, it is a major technological domain at the confluence of geology, physics, chemistry and mathematics that helps address the challenges of the company’s strategic development for decades to come.
